page's purpose is to let you know about our faith and beliefs. The
reason I can say "our" is that our entire office staff here
at Fortner Masonry
are born again Christians. That is something that is so unusual in today's
When I was 12 years old, I realized that I was a sinner. I had sinned against a Holy God. I wasn't any different than all of humanity. Everyone has sinned, sin is anything that displeases God. I realized that I needed forgiveness for those sins. The Bible, which is God's inspired word, tells us that God sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to save me and all of humanity from their sins and give us eternal life. I needed to repent, change the direction I was going, ask for forgiveness and give my heart to Jesus.
On that day, God saved me from an eternity in hell and gave me a home in heaven. Since that day, God has also given me an abundant life, here on earth, that is filled with His joy, peace and power and many other attributes that He shares with all His children.
Our staff here at Fortner Masonry all share similar testimonies. I'm thankful for that and if you would like that same eternal life and abundant life that we have, here is how:
God loves you: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
But you are a sinner: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
Sin leads to spiritual death: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
Christ died for your sin: "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Your response is to repent of sin: "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out." Acts 3:19
And trust Christ as your Lord and Savior: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:9-10,13
A guide to your prayer: "Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that you sent Jesus to die for my sin. I want to repent, to turn from my sin and ask your forgiveness. Please forgive me and come into my life. I will live for you every day. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen."
We believe that the Bible is verbally inspired by God, therefore, it is infallible and inerrant.
We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ.
We believe in the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ on the cross for manís sin.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
We believe in the visible and imminent return of Jesus Christ.
We believe in a literal Heaven where the saved shall live eternally and in a literal Hell where the lost shall be forever separated from God in torment.
We believe that salvation is a gift from God based upon his grace and extended to those who will repent of sin and place their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
